A bacterial sexually transmitted infection (STI) that can be transmitted through vaginal, anal or oral sex. It will usually cause significant pain passing urine and pus from the penis in male-assigned people and sometimes an abnormal vaginal discharge, bleeding or pain with sex in female-assigned people. It is curable with antibiotic medication.
